Hey, I wanted to thank you for the mention of the Ladies Night at the N & N! We had a great time and plan on doing another soon. Love this site - we definately could've used it when we were moving out here from Oklahoma.

Wanted to remind you of the Neuse Charter School here in Johnston County. Many families are unaware of the new school. Located in Selma, many "local" Johnston Co. residents think it is a "Smithfield-Selma" school. However, over 50% of the kids attending are from the Clayton and Cleveland area. We have several kids from Wake County attending. It is a K-5 school with the anticipation of growing a grade a year until it reaches the 8th.

For more information, please go to www.neusecharterschool.org

The Neuse Charter School Vision
Neuse Charter School values the unique talents and interests of each student and is committed to building a caring, vibrant, and innovative academic environment to promote learning among its students and faculty. NCS will set high expectations for students and teachers, will offer international exposure with help from World View to foster global awareness, and will work to create meaningful partnerships with parents and the community.
NCS Mission Statement
Neuse Charter School seeks to provide a challenging learning environment to highly motivated students in their elementary and middle years. High academic standards, a highly qualified staff, innovative approaches to teaching through the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, and strong emphasis on communication and critical thinking skills will be the distinguishing attributes of this school. Parental and community involvement and meaningful continuing education opportunities for teachers will be high priorities of the staff and board to insure the school empowers every child to achieve his or her maximum potential.
