In a word - yes.
Opinions vary about putting gutters on your home, but after moving to Clayton, NC almost a year ago, I can tell you that gutters are the way to go. Yes, builders will install a perforated pipe system that is supposed to carry water away from your home when water gets around the foundation, but gutters are a faster and more efficient method of getting water off your roof and directed away from your home and foundation.
Since I only have one home in Clayton, NC, I can only comment about the company who installed my guttersĀ on my home in the Clayton Pointe Subdivision near the Johnston County Airport - the company was RainGo NC. They installed seamless gutters on my entire house for under $675. They were in and out in one day and did an excellent job. I highly suggest you consider them whether you’re buying a new or existing home in Johnston County.

This is a great question, considering that my warranty with Comfort Homes is about to expire. My home came with a one-year “catch all” warranty and a 10-year structural warranty. The first year covers pretty much anything that breaks in the first year, such as appliances, plumbing, flooring, etc. Of course, these problems have to be the result of poor workmanship or the manufacturer’s fault. Comfort Homes, the company who built my home in Clayton Pointe, has been excellent in servicing my needs. Although I do have some issues that still need to be addressed, I would give them a good rating.
Comfort Homes and/or its contractors has been out to fix the following inĀ my home:
- Improperly installed outside faucet
- Leaky outdoor faucet
- Toilet vent pipe not properly connected
- Loud toilet mechanism
- Squeaky floors
- Poorly installed garage door
With about two weeks left of my warranty, I’m sure I’ll have one or two more things to get fixed. Don’t let this scare you from buying a home built by Comfort Homes of Clayton, NC - you get a great home for the price and everything that needs to get fixed, gets fixed.
