Raleigh, NC – Capital Bank will break ground in Clayton for the opening of its 28th branch location, marking the bank’s entry into the Johnston County market. The groundbreaking ceremony will occur on Thursday, May 1 at 10 a.m. at the site of the bank’s new location, 12701 U.S. Highway 70 West in Clayton.
“The expansion of Capital Bank into Clayton is an important milestone for the bank as we expand our banking services to customers in growing Johnston County,” said B. Grant Yarber, president and CEO of Capital Bank. “We’re proud to bring ‘Service Worth Talking About’ to another North Carolina community, our 28th branch throughout the state.”
The new branch is scheduled to open in the fall of 2008 and will staff approximately five people. Todd Warrick, senior vice president and North Wake community executive, will serve as the area executive for Clayton. Warrick joined Capital Bank last year and is currently based in the Wake Forest branch.
“Capital Bank’s emphasis on supporting the communities in which we serve complements the close-knit atmosphere in Clayton,” said Warrick. “I am looking forward to the grand opening of the new branch as we expand our footprint into Johnston County, one of the state’s fastest-growing counties,” he added.
